Vladimir A. Lavrinenko's Obituary
Vladimir Lavrinenko, age 56, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Cherished husband of Yelena Lavrinenko; loving father of Aleksey Lavrinenko (Michaela Cioffredi Lavrinenko) and Tatyana Reintjes (Joshua Reintjes); and grandfather of Athena Reintjes.
Vladimir was born in Bobrovytsya, Ukraine, to his late parents, Andrey and Nina Lavrinenko. In the mid to late '80s, Vladimir served in the army for the former Soviet Union ("USSR"). On September 23, 1989, Vladimir married his lovely bride, Yelena Lavrinenko, and they were committed to each other for 33 breathtaking years. The couple lived through the dissolution of the USSR, experienced their homeland's (Ukraine) repossession of independence due to the collapse of the USSR, and brought two wonderful children (Aleksey and Tatyana) into this world.
In 1997, Vladimir and Yelena sought a more prosperous future for their family. So, the family made a nearly 5,000-mile move to the United States. The family ultimately ended up in Solon, Ohio, around 2000.
Here in the Cleveland area, Vladimir participated in the American dream. He worked at Philips Healthcare Group, PC, and later GE Healthcare as an Electronics Technician. As most of us strive to do, Vladimir worked hard for a better life than his parents before him and sacrificed everything for his children to live a better life than he did. Vladimir, working a blue-collar job, was able to help his children financially so that they could both attend college. Easily his proudest moments were watching his children graduate with bachelor's degrees, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (Aleksey), and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (Tatyana).
Vladimir also treasured his sister (Yelena). Vladimir's sister still lives in Ukraine, yet they spoke regularly and maintained a strong relationship regardless of the distance. Vladimir's love for his family was never in question, and his fierceness and passion will live on through them.
Visitation will be held at Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon, OH 44139, Wednesday November 9, 2022, from 4-6PM with a funeral service immediately following at 6PM. Interment Private.
