I am so sorry to read about Ted’s passing. I enjoyed seeing him at bridge and playing a darn good game. He was a a of courage….
I knew Ted from our Miami days. In many ways our lives were parallel, both of our fathers were butchers and we grew up in the meat business. At one point our business interest crossed. We both enjoyed writing and I kept several of his essays as I could relate to them. To me the highest accolade is to be recognized as a “mensch”. Ted was a mensch.
Ted came to visit Saul after he had a stroke. As luck would have it, Father Tod, our next door neighbor in CChautaqua also stopped also b/c he had come for a parishioner who lived nearby. We knew Father Todd since he was a little kid. Ted was telling me about stratavarium he had seen which was very interesting I caught a glimpse of the priest’s face. He absolutely did not know what Ted was talking about. Ted must have caught the same and he switched to sports! So smooth and kind. Ted was a good and kind man, please accept my condolences. Hermine
Ted, Natalie, Bonnie and I would often go out for dinner or other events - and of course food was always a key focal point. Ted and I quickly learned that when Natalie and Bonnie decided something together, we both knew the four magic words: YES DEAR or NO DEAR. I am very fortunate to have had a friend like Ted. Neil Dick
