Stanley Wernick's Obituary
Stanley Wernick, age 90, was born on October 11, 1931 and peacefully passed away surrounded by
his family, grandchildren and caregivers on August 2, 2022.
Stanley is the loving son of Samuel (z’l, of blessed memory) and Lilian (z’l); husband of 63 years to
Ethel Stearns (z’l); a devoted father to Stacie, Wayne and Warren (Gail Schroeder); loving
grandfather of Daniel and Claire; dear brother of Marvin (z’l) and Sheldon; uncle of Sam, Lynn,
Marci and Fred; devoted cousin of many.
Stanley was born in Cleveland, Ohio and attended John Adams high school, while working at the
family store. Stanley is a United States Army veteran and returned to Cleveland following his military
service to begin a sales career with Stearns Automotive and Deacon’s Chrysler. Stanley was named
a Chrysler salesman of the year in 1959. Stanley loved to collect antiques, watches, and jewelry. He was active in the Mason’s, Forest City Lodge and was honored as the Mason of the Year in 1988.
Stanley’s grandchildren, Daniel and Claire were the light of Stanley’s life, and his courage, strength
and compassion will forever be with them.
Funeral Services will be held graveside at Mt. Olive Cemetery on Friday, August 5 at 2 PM
at 27855 Aurora Road, Solon. The family will receive friends from 4-6:30 PM at Beechmont Country
Club at 29600 Chagrin Blvd., Beachwood.
