Silvia Hernandez's Obituary
Silvia Hernandez, Hebrew name Sara, a resident of Cleveland Hts., passed away Wednesday, the 27th of March at Maltz Hospice in Beachwood. Sara was born July 8, 1949 in Pradera, Colombia. Sara was a modiste, a trade she learned from her father who owned several tailor shops and taught the trade to all his children. During her trade she did a lot of private work, worked for the Polo company and a bridal boutique. Later in life, in a trade shift, Sara became a Walmart associate mostly in the arts and crafts department until she retired.
Sara enjoyed reading natural medicine books, cooking and baking for her family, sewing beautiful garments for her grandchildren, doing home décor projects such as pillows, curtains, tablecloths, etc. Her favorite flowers were roses, her favorite color was lilac, her favorite fruit pineapples, her favorite dessert was upside down pineapple cake, her favorite tea chamomile tea.
Sara was known for her kindness, gentle caring spirit, devotion to G-d, but mostly for being a peace maker and keeping everyone in good terms with each other. She always used and measured her words wisely and had a special touch that put people at ease; she adored her grandchildren and was very devoted to them, her grandkids called her nana.
Sara is survived by her daughter Mimi Sadowsky, grandchildren Nathan Boaz, Elisheba Boaz, Amaris Boaz and extended family in Virginia, Florida, France, Spain.
