When the war was over, he served the newly-formed State by helping to build the first structures in Eilat. In 1952, he left Israel to reconnect with his mother, Germaine, in Paris, France. While working as a personal Travel Guide [he spoke 5 languages fluently], he met Judith Cohen, who was traveling through Europe with a friend. After falling in love, Jacques agreed to fly to America in December of 1959. The 2 were married on February 21, 1960 and remained so until her death on February 20, 2002. He was a kind, gentle man who was loved by all who knew him.
