Irene B. Silverman's Obituary
Irene B Silverman (nee Goldstein) age 97, beloved wife of Morris (deceased), loving mother of Maxine Mallory and Rick Silverman (Laurie Stewart), adoring grandmother of Eben Mallory, Lora Mallory and Stewart Seidel. Cherished sister, aunt, and cousin of many She survived her parents, Nathan and Leah Goldstein (nee Burkons) and her brothers and sisters, Harry Stoneman, Gertrude Kravitz, Sanford Stone, Jerome Goldstein, Florence Sachs, Ernest Goldstein, and Marvin Stone. Irene was a caring, wonderful wife, mother, auntie, and friend to many. She enjoyed entertaining, gardening, playing mahjong and canasta, shopping, as well as caring for others. Irene was involved in all types of volunteer and fund raising projects. She is a past President of her Hadassah chapter, past President of JWV Post 44 Ladies Auxiliary and was a Red Coat at Playhouse Square where she ushered well into her 90’s. Irene loved to travel and love to talk of her trips to Israel, the Caribbean, Colorado, Maine, New York, Arizona and California. Irene was an amazing woman and traveled well into her 90’s, never seeming to slow down. Graveside Service will be on Sunday, May 14 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Rd. Solon, OH 44139. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 8:00 PM at Landerhaven, 6111 Landerhaven Drive, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124. Donations suggested to Geauga Human Society Rescue Village.
