Gary James Boecker's Obituary
Gary James Boecker, 63, of Pepper Pike, died July 21st in Cleveland, surrounded by his loving family and in the arms of his wife, Abigail (nee Gold) Boecker. Cherished son of Theodore J. Boecker and the late Norma Jean (nee Rush) Boecker; Beloved father of Sarah Elizabeth Boecker; Treasured brother of Kenneth Boecker and John Boecker (Lisa); Son-in-law of Ronald and Eileen Gold; Cherished brother-in-law of Kathryn and Herman Fox and Debra S. Gold; Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gary was a graduate of Baldwin High School (in Pittsburgh), Penn State University, and the University of Akron School of Law. Gary was proud to became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He was a brother of Sigma Pi Fraternity and later lettered as a varsity lacrosse player at Penn State. Gary spent two memorable summers in Los Angeles as Bob Hope’s personal assistant. In his career he helped establish more than 100 businesses and he was a contributing author of four books in the area of business and estate planning. Gary loved to travel, was an avid nature lover, hiker, biker or simply got joy from a walk on the labyrinth. He never met a beach chair that he didn’t love. He was deeply caring to those he held close and passionately devoted to his two dogs. He was a man with a quiet inner strength. His gentle, thoughtful manner will be greatly missed by those he touched along his journey. ALL SERVICES PRIVATE. NO VISITATION.
