Carole Marie Gulaian's Obituary
Carole Marie Gulaian, age 84, of Mayfield Village passed away peacefully at her home on September 5th, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on October 2nd 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio to her late parents Henry and Carola Walker. Carole grew up in Ashtabula and lived the past 54 years in Mayfield Village. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Widowed to her late husband of 48 years Vartan Gulaian. Loving mother of Marty(Tracy), Ken (Kari), Carol Winkler (Rod), Christa Gulaian (Doug), Liz Gulaian and the late Amy Gulaian (Keith). Sister of the late Henry Walker. Beloved Grandmother to Nathan (Sarah) Winkler, Nick Winkler and Abby Winkler. Aunt of nephew Kurt and niece Cindy. Carole is also survived by her many loving friends.
Carole was a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic prior to staying home to raise her family. She was an avid gardener, serving as an active member and leader in the Mayfield Village Garden Club for many many years, where she met lifelong friends. Carole enjoyed collecting antiques and was owner of “The Summer House Antiques” with her dear friends Billie and Mary. She was a lifelong learner. .
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St.Francis of Assisi Church 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills on Monday, 9/13 at 11:30 a.m. The family will be present for visitation ½ hour prior to and ½ hour following the Mass. Internment will be at 2:00 at The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband, Vartan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or a charitable organization of your choice.
