I miss you Grandma. Thank you for teaching me how to appreciate what I have and who I have. You were kind to all, thoughtful and had a way of making us all feel so special. Your laughter was contagious as was your smile.
Florence was a friend, a neighbor, my moms best friend. She was strong, beautiful, I will miss her. I will miss visiting with her. I will miss calling her to see what was going on. The Shorr house was like another home for me. The memory I have is for some reason I could not get into my house and I sat on the front steps crying. The only person I would go with was Florence. I will miss you always.
I will forever have my Aunt Faggie in my heart. She was a second mother to me for as long as I can remember and was always there for me. I was at her house twice a week after school at Rowland, and she always had chocolate covered pretzels for my snack. She took me to see The Sound of Music, my first movie at a theater. I remember her picking me up in her orange Duster with the tiger bobblehead. She made sure my wedding was perfect and even made napkin rings for all the guests. When my kids were born, she and Uncle Lenny were there to be grandparents to them and make them feel special. They never missed a birthday party. There are so many things she has given me and done for me, I will never be without her in my life. I
I wish you all comfort in the wonderful memories she has left you with.
Sending my love to the entire Shorr Family,
Stacy
Mrs. Shorr was a fantastic neighbor and all around wonderful person. The Shorrs were kind and ever present on Stonehaven. And of course, no house had a better halloween treat.
There are so many wonderful memories, I wouldn't know where to start. I am sending my thought, prayers and hugs to all my family and extended family.
Mom’s middle initial was “K”. Her true name was Florence Kathleen Shorr. But a special rose my any name smells as sweet.
